Top 10 Questions We Have About ‘Loki’
Disney+’s new streaming series Loki has definitely got fans hooked on it and constantly asking questions. I am, too! Since there are so many fan theories about this mysterious show, here we narrow all of the inquiries down to the top 10. Get ready to hear all of them!
10. Has the Multiversal War Started Yet?
An important question asked about the Loki series is regarding the multiversal war’s beginning. The multiversal war may have not started yet despite Loki creating a branch timeline, leading to a “Nexus event,” and Sylvie being a second variant, but the madness in the multiverse (?!?) could still be waiting in the shadows until Doctor Strange 2 is officially released.
9. Does Loki Have the Time Stone?
Loki using telekinesis to lift a building exactly back into place in Episode 3 convinced the fans that he had the Time Stone. It was almost as Loki had reversed time to lean the skyscraper into its original position, but it’s unlikely that he has actually been carrying the Time Stone ever since Episode 1 (when he reached into Casey’s drawer to see the powerless Infinity Stones as paperweights): if he did, he would use it much more often whenever a situation didn’t go his way. However, this theory is spreading rapidly even though it’s pretty far-fetched…
8. Is Miss Minutes Alive?
Miss Minutes is the cute animated TVA mascot, but Episode 2 posed a different question: is she really alive? Loki tries to smack her with a magazine, but she reacts quickly by jumping away and heading straight into the ’80s-styled computer. Then he asks her if she’s just a recording or actually alive – the same thing we’ve been wondering all along – to which she replies, “Sort of both.” Are the Timekeepers speaking through her, considering her knowledge of them, Nexus events, the “Sacred Timeline,” variants on the loose and their fates, and basically everything about the TVA? With Tara Strong telling us that there’s “much more” to Miss Minutes, we deserve to have an answer to the persisting inquiry of who she is and what she’s all about.
7. Will More Loki Variants Be Introduced?
Loki and Sylvie are currently the only Loki variants introduced in-depth so far, but what about the others? Viking Loki, Cyclist Loki, King Loki, and Kid Loki are all still characters that most comic book fans want to see in live-action. Hopefully, in the final battle against the Timekeepers (if they are really the villains of the show), more variant heroes will team up to battle them.
6. Will Sylvie Get a Spinoff Series?
Sylvie’s story is only barely unfolding at this time, so fans have been recently demanding that she should have a spinoff series. Sophia Di Martino (Sylvie actress) has been asked the question of whether her character will get a show all about her backstory and adventures, but her only response was that she has no idea yet: it’s unknown if the idea has even been pitched to Marvel yet!
5. When Is Season 2’s Release Date?
Unlike WandaVision, Loki season 2 is confirmed to be currently in development – yes, confirmed and for sure – but the release date is unknown. We Loki fans can’t wait, you know! Characters like the jet ski-loving Mobius M. Mobius and the fascinating Sylvie just need to return soon. MCU mystery thrillers, anytime would be great…
4. Does Loki Connect to Thor: Love and Thunder?
We know that Loki links to Doctor Strange 2 directly, but what about Thor: Love and Thunder? A Thor movie doesn’t feel like a Thor movie when there’s no Loki in it! People everywhere are asking the question of whether Loki connects to Love and Thunder, but it has not yet been confirmed by Michael Waldron (Loki‘s head writer), Kevin Feige, or even teased by any MCU officials.
3. Is Sylvie Enchantress or Lady Loki?
Sylvie is most likely not Enchantress or Lady Loki at this point, now that Sophia Di Martino has claimed that her character has her very own backstory only based off of these two Loki-like comics characters, but this hasn’t stopped fans from theorizing that she will evolve into one of these women: with her name “Sylvie” being compared to Sylvie Lushton a.k.a. Enchantress, and her broken horn making connections to Lady Loki, it makes sense that people can’t stop speculating that she’ll reveal herself later as somebody more than just “Sylvie.”
2. Will Kang Ever Show Up?
Kang the Conqueror has been heavily teased in the trailers and the episodes released so far (1, 2, and 3), the clues ranging from Renslayer sitting right in front of the Kang lookalike statue’s lips to the center Timekeeper nearly perfectly resembling Kang (even his colors are almost the same!). So, will Kang ever show up? These may solely be red herrings like all of those Mephisto Easter eggs in WandaVision; on the other hand, Kang’s already going to star in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, so appearing early is always possible.
1. Who Are the True Villains of the Series?
Sylvie is probably not the real villain of Loki, so who is? It could be Kang, it could be Ravonna Renslayer, it could be the TVA… the options are endless. This is ultimately the major question being asked about Loki! Every superhero story has to have at least one bad guy, so Loki‘s just needs to be disclosed soon. SOON. Luckily, this one absolutely can’t go unanswered if this series is going to end up complete.
Directed by Kate Herron and written by Michael Waldron, Loki stars Tom Hiddleston as Loki (and an executive producer), Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie/the Variant, Owen Wilson as Agent Mobius M. Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Judge Ravonna Renslayer, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, and Tara Strong as Miss Minutes. Episodes 1 “Glorious Purpose,” 2 “The Variant,” and 3 “Lamentis” are now streaming on Disney+, with new episodes airing every Wednesday!
