Which BotW Character Are You Based on Your Horoscope Zodiac?

Signs, signs, and more signs…

Signs, signs, and more signs… Everyone has a horoscope zodiac sign. Based on the position of the sun and planets and the date you were born, you have a special zodiac sign that corresponds with a specific personality. Do the Breath of the Wild characters apply to this? Well, of course they do! Here’s which BotW character fits each horoscope zodiac sign.

Aries (Mar. 21 – Apr. 19): Prince Sidon

Prince Sidon is optimistic, eager, quick-witted, and smart, just like Aries. He can also be blunt, spitting out whatever’s on his mind without regret – even if it is on the borderline of rude – and angry with those who disagree with what he rightly believes to be justice. His heated argument with Muzu (the Zora who originally hated Link and the Hylians) is one of the best examples of all of these traits. Sidon’s also known for being dynamic and extroverted, able to fit in with a wide spectrum of people.

Taurus (Apr. 20 – May 20): Impa

Taurus is the sign for honesty and formality. Meeting a Taurus first may seem like they’re trying to give you a job interview, which really resembles Impa’s first encounter with Link. She’s honest with her emotions, sincerely begging Link to save Zelda, but doesn’t give into them too easily. She mainly remains as formal and composed as possible now that she’s aged peacefully, drama-freely in the lay-low Kakariko Village – another trait of the Taurus, a desire for calmness.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun. 20): Riju

Like Gemini, Riju is willing to let her past go so that she can move on to the future. She is also an expert communicator. The ever-eloquent Gerudo Chief knows how to naturally smoothen her words like a satin cloth, just like her predecessor Urbosa. She’s also a slight introvert, making perfect company with herself, and wonders what people think of her. This is evident in her conversations with Link and her repeated confessions that she worries if the Gerudo truly consider her worthy to be in the leader’s position. She is also willing to save her people at all costs and use her gifts for good at every opportunity.

Cancer (Jun. 21 – Jul. 22): Mipha

Mipha, the emotional, protective, and above all, loving healer of the Zora, is definitely the representation of the Cancer crab. Shown in her do-anything-for-you love for Link, she can easily cross the barrier just to be with the one she has devoted her life to. What shows that more than her tedious crafting the Zora Armor for him? She’s also shy and soft-spoken, disliking being caught in big crowds, just like Cancer.

Leo (Jul. 23 – Aug. 22): Revali

Revali is a definite Leo in every way. Bold, confident, arrogant, and dramatic, Revali knows his unique aerial archery skills are enviable and is incredibly proud of them. He’s not willing to lower himself for everything he’s done and is 99.99% of the time the first to praise himself for doing a good job. While he often boasts, he isn’t one to back away from hard work: he devotes his life to perfecting himself and becoming better than he was yesterday. He’s the harshest critic of himself even though everyone else already compliments the abilities he thinks need to be pushed beyond his limits. And there’s nothing he loves to do more in front of people than dramatic flair and gestures.

The sad thing about Leos is that the reputation of arrogance trails them everywhere they go. This blinds others from seeing their truly soft hearts that are willing to admit to their wrongs later on, echoing Revali’s final words to Link after the liberation of Divine Beast Vah Medoh. Leos aren’t totally incapable of making friends, too. If you happen to befriend one, you’re in luck.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): Link

Virgos are analytical, gentle, loyal, and practical. Sound familiar? Link, the world-famous knight of Hyrule, is all four of these things, too: gentle and silent to others, avoiding drama and pride, loyal to his duty and his home, analytical in his investigations of Hyrule, and practical as he values doing his job rather than talking or dreaming about it. Link also doesn’t convey a lot of emotions with his actions; like the introverted Virgo, he’s better off reading books and learning more about the world around him. Nature is a Virgo’s best friend.

Libra (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): Princess Zelda

Libras are always willing to put others before themselves, kind to everyone around them, diplomatic, and fair-minded. Princess Zelda, the selfless, empathetic leader of Hyrule, fills this horoscope sign perfectly. She is capable of seeing from all points of view and is an expert at putting big plans together. She also has no problem with fitting in a few of her own hobbies into her spare time. Observing ancient technology, sticking her nose into books, and studying Hyrule’s vast variety of flora and fauna are some of her favorite (and nerdy) things to do. However, Libras can also be insecure as they wonder who they are and what role they play in their community.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): Teba

Scorpios are known for being brusque and stubborn at first sight. They can seem closed off to strangers, but they really are loyal, good friends once you get to know them, just like Teba. He didn’t really want to talk to Link at first, as his heart and mind were absolutely set on conquering Medoh alone just like the independent Scorpio, but then reluctantly agreed to accept Link’s help after the Hylian proved himself.

A Scorpio’s main drive is their feelings. Like Teba, they are impulsive and will stop at nothing to help those they love.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): Daruk

Sagittarius is probably one of the most extroverted horoscope signs of all twelve, just like Daruk. They’re optimistic, funny, generous, adventurous, open-hearted, and big-spirited. Honest and friendly to the core, Daruk is someone Zelda can trust to inaugurate into the Champions. He can accept any project (like saving Hyrule to help Link defeat Calamity Ganon) right off the bat with all the excitement he can muster. Put aside his rock-hard exterior, and you can easily see his soft, caring heart underneath, and his bold entrepreneurial skills.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): King Rhoam

King Rhoam has always been big on rules. This already tells me he’s a true Capricorn: he’ll stop at nothing to get what he wants, even if it’s forcing his daughter to complete her royal training just to save Hyrule the way he believes is right, and can’t bear to leave the boundaries he’s set for himself. But this doesn’t mean he’s not a good person: he makes a very loyal friend and guide to Link, and he has sly humor embedded deep within him that can only be unlocked by those he cares for most.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): Urbosa

Urbosa is the ultimate Aquarius. She’s self-reliant, advanced, clever, exceptionally skilled, and optimistic. As the Gerudo Chief, she must be independent and willing to sacrifice anything for her home and people. She’s also got a charmingly witty sense of humor. Her funniest moments are when she intentionally tries to get Zelda to admit she likes Link, and her best are when she pulls out her Scimitar of the Seven and shows every Yiga Clan member that she means business. The optimism also kicks in when she is alone with Zelda. Being the girl’s caretaker after her mother’s death, she tries her best to encourage the princess when she starts worrying too much about Calamity Ganon’s arrival. It must’ve cut Zelda to the core when she found out Urbosa was dead, and there was no one left who could truly support her.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – Mar. 20): Kass

Pisces, the final sign of the horoscope zodiac, is identifiable for their imaginative mind, intelligence, sensitivity, and strength in both the logical and artistic sides of the brain. This is Kass, the wandering Rito minstrel who is an obvious introvert, but he feels a deep connection to both music and the natural world around him. It’s easy for him to delve into the deep, soulful side of everything. While the logical side of a Pisces can stand out at times, their main trait is their creativity and enjoyment in the fine arts. Kass expresses this in his music. If you don’t believe me, tell me one time you saw Kass when he wasn’t musing over his teacher’s riddling songs and playing away on his accordion. (You can’t.)
