Ahsoka Series Synopsis Has Been Reportedly Leaked

After months of suspense, the upcoming Ahsoka series has a reportedly LEAKED plot? Star Wars has announced a new show focusing on Rosario Dawson’s live-action Ahsoka Tano, but her journey across the galaxy and its purpose has been unknown….until now. Let’s dive straight into the details now for today’s article!

Chapter 13: The Jedi left a giant plot hole behind – what happens with Ahsoka and the name-dropped Grand Admiral Thrawn – never answered in the rest of The Mandalorian Season 2, but it may just be finally addressed in-depth in Ahsoka. But, who did he jump into hyperspace with in Star Wars Rebels’ finale? Of course it was Ezra Bridger, the BFF (and possible attachment) of Sabine Wren. So, without further adieu, we will present to you… the recently leaked synopsis of the new show:

Ahsoka Tano is on the hunt for the evil Grand Admiral Thrawn in the hope it will help her locate the missing Ezra Bridger, the young Jedi that disappeared with Thrawn many years ago.

Now that sounds mysterious! Since this is a verified synopsis, we have high expectations for both the storyline and acting performances in Ahsoka – I hope Rosario Dawson knows how big this project is for her and the future of Star Wars.

More on live-action Ezra Bridger (and possibly Sabine!)

In late February, Mena Massoud (the actor who played Aladdin) was cast as live-action Ezra Bridger and fans have gone wild. With Rosario Dawson’s already stunning performance of Ahsoka, everyone can’t stop hoping for more from fan-favorite characters to appear in future movies and shows! (Me too…I can’t blame them at all.) And then, in mid-March, Massoud released a tweet teasing his Ezra role including a valid Season 2 quote: “Hey, just so you know, when I escape I won’t hurt any of you.” Is this a real confirmation from the actor himself?!

However, despite the excitement circling around Star Wars fandom over Massoud’s casting as Ezra hasn’t stopped us from thinking about something else: Will there be a live-action version of his counterpart, Sabine Wren? It’s actually quite a good question considering the new plot reveal. You remember that Ahsoka went on the search for Ezra with Sabine, right?

There are 2 existing main choices for the role of the Mandalorian graffiti artist: Tiya Sircar and Naomi Scott. Sircar voiced the character in Star Wars Rebels (which is a great reason to cast her, since people got so excited when Katee Sackhoff returned to play live-action Bo-Katan), while Scott has never had a role in Star Wars but played Princess Jasmine alongside Mena Massoud in Aladdin. A second team-up for Massoud and Scott? That would be awesome! (…while it will definitely spark more Ezrabine stuff…)

Live-action Thrawn

Okay, before getting into any of the details, I want you to know that I feel like the actor chosen is a great choice – but Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) would have been a much better selection because of the perfect face build, personality, and experience in other films as a sly and strategic guy (whether hero, villain, or right in between). But we fans can’t change the outcome of a casting decision, so don’t bother disputing about it…

The one who is cast as Grand Admiral Thrawn is Lars Mikkelsen, the voice actor of the character in Star Wars Rebels. Just like Cumberbatch, Mikkelsen possesses Thrawn’s bony, skinny face. All he needs to do to look the part is shave off that beard (you can’t have Thrawn with hairs sticking out of his chin!), and voila: he’s set. I just can’t wait to see that guy painted blue!
