7 Planets You’ll Wish You Lived On
The Star Wars Universe is so wide that there are so many planets, big and small, and there are some so wonderful you’ll wish you lived on! Here are our top 7 picks.
- Endor
The forest moon of Endor was where the Empire was finally destroyed. It’s also the home of the cute, furry Ewoks. They’re not called “walking teddy bears” for no reason! The lush greenery, fun treehouses, wildernesses to explore, and mild climate make Endor a great planet to live on.
- Naboo
Naboo, the home planet of Queen Padme Amidala and the silly Jar Jar Binks, was called the “idyllic homeland of beauty” by travelers. Castles and towering buildings filled the capital city of Theed, and the lakes contained the enormous underwater pathways of the Gungans. What’s more, the planet’s beautiful and relaxing retreats were often chosen for wedding locations. In fact, Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala were married secretly on the East Naboo Lake Retreat – a hidden area that little knew about.
- Scipio
An ice-covered world of interesting landforms and blankets of pure white snow, Scipio was the home of the banking clan and Rush Clovis, Padme’s partner in work. It’s definitely a Star Wars winter wonderland; Scipio’s steep hills are great for sledding rides. Not interested in sleds and more a scenic person? Don’t worry: it also has intricate architecture in the city center.
- Kiros
Home of Ahsoka’s species, the Togruta, Kiros was mainly grassy land with spacious buildings shaped after the Togruta montrals. The world was most famous for its juicy fruits for food, and their Kiros birds, cousins of the convors, which were sent to other parts of the galaxy for pets. Sadly, Kiros was also known for gorgeous female slaves. Togruta women were often shipped to slaver planets like Kadavo, Zygerria, and Kessel. Thankfully, Ahsoka and the Republic finally stopped the slavery traditions, and made the Togruta free people living in their beautiful homeworld.
- Tatooine
Tatooine was the first planet to ever appear in Star Wars as the home of Anakin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker, C-3PO, and R2-D2. Homes were very ordinary, dome-shaped residences that dotted the sandy deserts. It was also known for its Mos Eisley Cantina, where Figrin D’an’s Bith band played classic tunes. Beverages were also things Tatooine was famous for: green and blue milk from the native banthas were served at the cantina. The only downside of living on Tatooine was the crime lord Jabba the Hutt. Just make sure you don’t become his slave and meet a fateful death in the rancor pit…
- Lothal
Lothal was the birthplace of Ezra Bridger, a legendary Jedi Knight who jolted off to hyperspace with Grand Admiral Thrawn to free his planet. The first Rebel cell, Spectre, also originated on this planet. Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Zeb Orrelios, and Chopper, their droid, made many efforts to turn the planet back to the paradise it once was before the Empire took control. Many named Lothal “Empty City” because of the endless deserted wastelands, but if you’re a person looking for a peaceful, quiet, and calm home, it’s the place for you.
- Nevarro
The planet Nevarro was a planet with some greenery and a town square made mostly out of rock and cement. Introduced in the live action series The Mandalorian, Cara Dune became the elected marshal of the land along with Greef Karga, the new finance manager. For parents, Nevarro is a good family-friendly choice; there are many good work options for the adults and successful schools for the children.
